Borrowing from the principles of haute couture, our made to measure process begins with an existing design and reimagines it for the individual space.

Just as a couture garment is tailored to the proportions of its wearer, each Black Crow Studios mural is thoughtfully recomposed for the architecture it inhabits. Doors, windows, focal points, scale, and room flow all become part of the composition.

Never simply scaled or cropped to fit. Every detail is considered, creating a wallcovering that feels integral to the space rather than applied to it.

We work directly with interior designers and architects to develop made-to-measure wall murals that respond to the specific dimensions, proportions, and architectural details of each project.

Founded in 2010, Black Crow Studios has spent over fifteen years bringing original artwork to walls. Every mural is developed and printed in-house at our Southern California studio, keeping the creative process and production under one roof.

We'll present the compositions for your review. Choose the direction that feels right, and we'll work with you to refine the details until the artwork and architecture come together.

One Space. Many Possibilities.

There is rarely just one way for artwork to live within a space.

A shift in scale can change the entire mood of a room. Moving a focal point can alter how the eye travels through it. Oftentimes the most compelling composition is the one we didn't anticipate when we started.

That's why we explore multiple directions rather than presenting a single solution. Each composition is an opportunity to consider the artwork from a different perspective—how it interacts with the architecture, where it creates movement, and where it needs room to breathe.

We believe the best results come from that exploration. From trying things, pushing proportions, and discovering possibilities that might otherwise go unseen.

A printed strike-off is sent to allow you to review and approve the artwork's color and material before the full mural is produced.

Production

VIF

Final dimensions must be verified on site by your contractor or installer before production.

Approval

With your final composition, measurements, strike-off, and payment approved, your mural moves into production at our studio. Standard production time is approximately 2–3 weeks.
